Every class is collaborating to construct an American Flag! Despite the tempestuous election this year, we are spreading patriotism throughout the school, reflecting on what it means to be a citizen of the United States of America. Inspired by the expressive paintings made by Jasper Johns, students are learning about texture and symbolism in art, building craftsmanship and creative thinking skills while working together. Beginning with paint, brushes, and various combes, we make textured paper. Then, we collage. Putting on the finishing touches make us want to sing the national anthem!
