Building on our knowledge of line and shape, first grade and kindergarten students are exploring form through architecture. Looking to Moshe Safdie’s Habitat 67, we are designing and constructing models of unique homes using tissue boxes and milk cartons as the foundation. Some are thinking outside of the box, adding gardens, pools, and stairs to the sides of their house. Side note, Moshe Safdie is also the architect who designed the Jepson Center for the Arts! You are able to explore one of his unique designs in person.
